Impaired drivers focus of extra patrols

first_imgMultiple local law enforcement agencies are stepping up patrols today to target impaired drivers.The Vancouver, Washougal and Battle Ground police departments and the Washington State Patrol have additional officers out enforcing DUI laws. Officers, who are also drug recognition experts, are among those conducting the increased DUI patrols.The increased DUI enforcement is made possible through a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, which covers the overtime costs for the additional officers and marketing in support of the Target Zero program.
