first_imgFollow us on Facebook.Follow us on Twitter. by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Weather.com has upgraded its chance of rain projections from 83 to 87 percent on Saturday at 6 p.m. – the night of the prom.An updated USD 353 message from the USD 353 office was issued today:“In case of rain, prom walk-in spectators will enter WHS through the main student entrance to the Commons, Door 12, on the south side of the building, proceed to and then be seated in the WHS auditorium for the 6 p.m. walk-in.A “Crusader Alert” will be issued around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, indicating whether walkin will be held indoors or outdoors.  Other media outlets most likely, including www.usd353.com, www.wellington.cc and this website will post the walk-In location info near that time as well.If it is raining, the Prom attendeees will enter the usual English hall doors (400 Hall) and line up inside the building, out of the rain. At 6 p.m., the prom participants will begin their walk across the stage in the auditorium.The full schedule for the prom is as follows:  •”Drive in” line up starts around 5 p.m. down Crusader Lane, then coming in around 5:30.•Walk in with introductions begin at 6 p.m.•Dinner: Come in, then be seated for dinner, officially starts at 6:30.•Program in auditorium at 7:30 p.m.•Dancing and voting – 8:15 – 10:45 p.m.•Award program and coronation – 10:45 in commons.•Last dance – 11 p.m. (students have one hour to change and get back).Project Prom will be held at All-Star Sports in Wichita.center_img Close Forgot password?
