first_img Pinterest Pictured are Timahoe Community Hall Committee who recently presented a cheque to Anthony and Rose Knowles from the proceeds of their sell out Fashion Show Photo: Denis Byrne Timahoe was the home of a fashion show last February in a spectacular fundraiser for Mary-Claire Knowles.A charity fashion show was held in aid of Mary Claire at the Timahoe Community Hall and €5,125 has been raised for her.Little Mary Claire suffers from an extremely rare condition, Dravet’s Syndrome.Dravet’s Syndrome is characterised by prolonged seizures, sometimes causing developmental delays and can cause an increased risk of sudden unexplained death in epilepsy.Hundreds of people gathered in the community hall on the night, where they were greeted with a cheese and wine reception.The fashion show featured collections from the top local boutiques for ladies, gents and children.The committee presented a cheque to Mary-Claire and her parents – Anthony Knowles and Rose Maher – recently.They said: “The committee would like to thank all the sponsors, attendees, models and all those who contributed on the night in front and behind stage.
