first_imgFakhar Zaman continued with his impressive form with the bat as he blasted an unbeaten 117 to help Pakistan thrash Zimbabwe in the second one day international at Bulawayo on Monday.Pakistan’s 9-wicket victory has helped them take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.Chasing a paltry 195 for a win, Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq provided Pakistan a brilliant start adding 119 runs for the opening wicket.Babar Azam too tagtetted the loose deliveries and was involved in an unbroken 76-run stand for the second wicket.Zaman, who notched up his second century, smashed 16 fours in his 129-ball knock and sprinted Pakistan to 195/1 in 36 overs.The left-hander survived two close chances when he could have been run out in the second over and then was dropped soon after completing his century.Earlier, fast bowlers Usman Khan (4/36) and Hasan Ali (3/32) took the bulk of the wickets and dismissed Zimbabwe for 194 in 49.2 overs.Captain Hamilton Masakadza (59), who won the toss and elected to bat, and Peter Moor (50) gave the total some respectability as the rest of the batsmen struggled against Pakistan’s seamers under overcast conditions.Pakistan won the first match by 201 runs last Friday and lead the five-match series 2-0.
